Client Background
State of Ethos is a moto apparel brand inspired by the rugged, vintage 1960s motocross scene, aiming to disrupt the industry with unique & unconventional designs. They would release clothing in limited collections that required new marketing campaign collateral.
Challenge
Client needed a graphic & web designer who could modify their existing Shopify theme, manage products, edit photos, and design social media graphics.
Solution
Using my knowledge in various areas of design, I was able to help in different areas. I worked off their brand aesthetic to design graphics and Shopify website layouts. Their brand was heavily influenced by brand marketing done by brands like GAP that use a lot of minimalism and clean backgrounds. During my time at State of Ethos, I was also able to learn a lot about the clothing manufacturing process, and tech packs for apparel.
Shopify Site Management
- Shopify: Within Shopify I set up new layouts for home and product pages, imported & managed products, and managed app integrations.
Result

Digital Brand Collateral
- Social Media Graphics: I created social media graphics for each collection with the goal to boost engagement.
- Kaviyo Email Campaigns: Design graphics, create email campaigns, design the emails, and set them up as well as SMS messages.
- Photo Editing: I worked alongside the photographer to retouch and edit photos
Printed Brand Collateral
- Helmet Design: An awesome project I got to work on was collaborating on a helmet design worn by a sponsored X-Games rider held by ESPN. Seeing printed work on TV is pretty neat!
